The Learn Reporting dashboard is our new, reimagined Pulse reporting for administrators. In the Learn Reporting dashboard you will find reporting on everything your users have completed in Learn, including video lesson completion, lesson quiz and post-module assessment scores.

The following video will provide administrators with an overview of the Learn Reporting dashboard. It covers the following major topics:

  • Structure of data in Learn Reporting
  • Filtering and sorting options
  • Exporting a CSV of a report

Refer to the content below the video for a text summary.

Here is the revised version with your requested changes applied:

How to Use the Learn Reporting

How to Access Learn Reporting

Steps

  1. Navigate to the main platform
  2. Click Reporting
  3. Select Learn Reporting
    • Or click the Reporting icon (if available)

Setting Up Your Filters

Before reviewing data, configure your filters to ensure accurate reporting.

Available Filters

  • Group Selection
    • Choose the group you want to report on
  • Learner Filter
    • Select:
      • An individual learner, or
      • Multiple learners within the group
  • Report Period
    • Defaults to past 3 months
    • Expand the date range to include all desired activity

⚠️ Important:

  • Only learners with activity during the selected date range will appear
  • Students with no activity in that period will be filtered out automatically

Understanding Reporting Levels

The dashboard allows you to drill down through three levels of reporting:

  • Course Level
    • High-level summary of activity across an entire course
  • Module Level
    • Activity and performance within specific modules
  • Lesson Level
    • Detailed reporting on video lessons and associated quizzes

💡 As you click into a course or module, the reporting becomes more detailed while maintaining the same structure and views.

Understanding Activity Views

Across all levels (course, module, and lesson), you will use three primary views to analyze data:

1. Learner View (Best for Individual Performance)

This view breaks reporting down by student.

What You Can See

  • Lesson views
  • Quiz attempts
  • Post-module assessment attempts
  • Score progression across multiple attempts

Why Use This View

  • Identify struggling or high-performing students
  • See how learners interact with content
  • Track improvement over multiple attempts

💡This includes all activity within a particular level (e.g., entire course).

2. Structured View (Best for Completion Tracking)

This view shows whether students are meeting completion and competency requirements.

Completion Criteria (Green Checkmarks)

Students receive a green check when they:

  • Watch at least 75% of video lessons
  • Score 75% or higher on lesson quizzes
  • Score 75% or higher on post-module assessments

Additional Insights

  • Number of attempts per activity
  • Average scores

Why Use This View

  • Quickly confirm course or module completion
  • Ensure students are meeting required benchmarks
  • Identify incomplete or partially completed work

3. Timeline View (Best for Engagement Tracking)

This view organizes activity by date.

What You Can See

  • Daily activity by students
  • When quizzes, lessons, and assessments were completed

Why Use This View

  • Monitor student engagement over time
  • Identify inactivity or last-minute cramming
  • Track participation on specific dates

Viewing Detailed Student Attempts

You can drill into individual student performance for deeper insights.

Steps

  1. Locate a student in Learner View or Timeline View
  2. Click the detail icon (eye icon)
  3. Review:
    • Individual attempts
    • Correct and incorrect answers
    • Score changes between attempts

What This Helps You Identify

  • Learning patterns (e.g., repeated attempts)
  • Areas where students may be struggling
  • Improvement between attempts

Troubleshooting

Why don’t I see a student in the report?

  • The student has no recorded activity within the selected date range

Why is my reporting incomplete?

  • The date range may be too narrow
  • Expand beyond the default 3-month filter
