Our Prep application is the go-to source for everything, from customizable quizzes to mock registry exams, to detailed question feedback. Prep not only serves as a helpful study tool but also enables users to identify their weaknesses and better focus their study time.

This video offers an insightful overview of Prep, covering basic navigation, tools and their applications.

What are the main sections in Prep?

When you click the Prep icon in the left-hand menu, you’ll see two main sections:

  • Exams – Where you create, resume, and manage exams.
  • History – Where you view past performance and scores.

What options are available under Exams?

The Exams page has three sections:

  1. Take a New Exam
    • Start a new exam using one of three tools:
      • Quick Start
        • Fast way to begin a quiz.
        • Questions are pulled randomly from all categories.
        • Not weighted to ARRT specs and not timed.
      • Exam Builder
        • Customize your exam:
          • Select categories to include or exclude.
          • Adjust weighting.
          • Choose number of questions (up to 200).
          • Add a timer or enable feedback during the exam.
        • Save your configuration for future use under Saved Exams.
      • Exam Simulator
        • Simulates the ARRT registry exam:
          • Timed.
          • Weighted according to ARRT specifications.
          • In contrast to other Prep exams, these are static mock exams. You will see the same questions on each attempt.
  2. Exams in Progress
    • Resume exams you started but didn’t finish.
    • Untimed exams remain until completed.
    • Timed exams remain until the timer expires.
  3. Saved Exams
    • Quickly start a new exam using a previously saved configuration from Exam Builder.

What can I find under History?

  • Category Performance Overview
    • Displays your performance by category, helping you identify weak areas.
  • Exam List
    • Shows completed exams, scores, and time taken.
    • Note: You cannot review questions here. To review questions and feedback, use Reporting (covered here).

Best Practices

  • Use Quick Start for quick practice.
  • Use Exam Builder to target weak areas.
  • Use Exam Simulator for realistic ARRT exam practice.
  • Review your History regularly to track progress and adjust your study plan.
