New Modules and CE Credit Updates for MRI Image Production: Physical Principles of Image Formation

Effective November 3, 2026, three new modules will be added to the MRI Image Production: Physical Principles of Image Formation course. This update includes 30 new lessons and increases the approved continuing education (CE) credits from 4.75 to 6.25 credits.

What's changing?

The following modules will be added to the course:

  • Flow Artifacts
  • Gradient Artifacts
  • Equipment and Magnetic Field Artifacts

The three original modules will remain unchanged.

With the addition of the new modules, the course will offer a total of 6.25 approved CE credits.

When will the new modules be available?

The new modules will be available beginning November 3, 2026.

To prepare for this update, the course's post-course assessment will be temporarily unavailable for approximately 24 hours beginning Monday, November 2, 2026.

What if I've already completed the course?

If you've previously completed the course and earned CE credits, your earned credits will remain valid and will not be affected by this update.

Once the new modules are available:

  • Your course completion status will change to "In Progress" because new content has been added.
  • The post-course assessment will be unlocked, allowing you to retake it and earn the additional CE credits from the new modules.
  • Any continuing education or structured education credits you've already earned will remain valid.

Important: The change to your course completion status does not affect credits you've previously earned.

Information for Administrators and Educators

If you're an Administrator or Educator, please be aware that the addition of the new modules will affect course completion statuses in Learn Reporting.

Students who previously completed MRI Image Production: Physical Principles of Image Formation will appear as Incomplete/In Progress after the update.

This reporting change reflects the addition of new course content.
